reply posts sorting in reverse order

I'm having trouble with the main topic post being moved down the page when a reply is posted.

I've searched the code in numerous files and can't seem to find a remedy for this problem.
I figured the code should be in the MessageIndex.template file.. but I haven't located a place to set it..
Can anyone please help me fix the problem?

Same problem here, sometimes replies are all mess up.. and first post goes down while new reply becomes the first (?!). Ive updated my SMF to 1.1.2, and this still happens.

I've got the same problem and have been searching SMF for an answer.  Has anyone found a fix? Thank you.

You mean that the new replies show at the top?
Profile -> Look and layout preferences -> Show most recent posts at the top.

That was too easy a fix    Is that the "default "- New posts to below?  Thank you very much for your time and quick reply!!!
