multi-category board (smf 2.0)[solved with ALIAS BOARD MOD ]

Hi all.
maybe it exist, i can not find it.

the idea is to be able to link one board to multiple  categories.

So, for example,  we can have a 'news, announcements posts' one or more categories.

Or can be used to share important boards in multiple categories in big forums.

mostly my users goes to 'index' to see the main boards and then must go to the category of their interest.

( another solution would be to pass an array of categories to see to index.php, this way i can show main category AND the category the user wanna see in one step.)

simliar to 'sticky board' ?

I think that you'll can do it with Redirection Boards

Just create the "main" board and then all the Redirection Boards that you want linked to the main board

Thanks Heckel, I did it.. But it does not have data about the redirected board, I mean: in the redirection you write an url, and it works, but the user can not see the main´s board data: new messgaes, message count and so...

as I cann see boards table has the cat_id field, so, I think that we must make a simple n-n relation between category-boards ( or a Simply new "category collection field" in the boards table with the additional categories) and 'touch' a bit the main software.

The question is...

where to do it?
only in sources/subs-BoardIndex.php ??
is it better to make another funtion appart of  getBoardIndex in that file??

would it be a new 'action' ??

sorry, completly new in mods, and can not find the documentation of 2.0 mods ( I assume that it´s because it´s beta, and the docs will be online soon )
