Notify moderator on new topic or post

Is there a facility and how do I get it to work please so that a moderator, or more than one  if there is more, receives an email everytime someone sets a new topic or replys to a post.

I gone through the docs and my own board I am setting up and just cannot find it please?

Could anyone please tell me if there is a setting for admins or moderators to be emailed each time a post or new topic is made?

There isn't a setting to enable this for an obvious / important reasons

- Most hosts limit the no. of emails you can send per hour/ per day (and it doesn't take very many to exceed that limit)
- Most email providers would detect/believe that to be spam.

Users/moderators/admins can choose to be notified about new posts in individual topics or by board.

Although there aren't settings to enable this by default for membergroups or everyone.
