I wish i had 50% of the page views (or visitors) you have. thats an excellent job on your part and a very nice niche you found  :)

Harry Potter FTW :D It's slowly dieing, but I think I can keep it up for another year or two. The niche is dieing I mean. I built my site in order to counter the vB site with the same niche. The were up for five years and have double the number we have, but we were only on for less then a year.

My forum goes over 100 000 pageviews in a single day sometimes (rarely). We have an average over 2 000 000 pageviews per month now, which account for about 50 000 unique visitors in that period.

Of course it does! Your forum is in another language, you don't really have much competition. All you need to focus of is bringing in users.

Looks like I will finally break 7 mill page views this month. Thought the 6 million we got in December was good but this month has been crazy.

Yeah yeah,

give us a link so that we can check it out.

Well, I do have a much more limited "market pool", while all english based message boards can go way beyond up to maybe 6 thousand million members.

Question for those of you who have heavy forum usage - have you noticed any difference in performance between 1.1.x and 2.0 RCx?

rd

My forum started with 1.x now at 2.x, there is no difference :)

Ensiferous

There is a huge difference. Many of the queries have been optimized loads, larger forums, especially, will benefit from them.

I think or thought he ment difference "traffic wise" since the subject seems to be about traffic...

Ensiferous

I doubt he means "traffic" when he says "performance". Especially since there's absolutely no logical reason for a forum upgrade to bring more traffic.

Wow your site gets a lot of views compared to the amount of posts you get. On my site, I average around 5000-7000 posts a month and I get around 350000-450000 views a month. I guess it must be due to the main theme of my site being a niche community. We got a lot of active members, but around 50-70 total users online within the last 30 minutes including logged in members is about what we have.
