I want a short code that shows a simple number of which how many users are viewing that page.

I want it really SIMPLE. I've spent 2 hours trying to find one with no luck.

Please, I need this!

sawz

there is an option to show who or how many people are viewing a topic.
is this what you mean?
keep smiling, they'll always wonder what your up too.....

Nono, It's for my website, not for SMF.

I need just a one number count system that I can place on any page.

this is scripting help for smf.

AFAIK, this is the general scripting board, even the description makes it sound generic.

As for tracking users viewing a certain page, it's difficult to determine since webpages are "stateless". Basically, once you serve a page, you do not know how long the page is on a user's browser screen, if they are even viewing it right now, etc. You could maybe determine a few things if you are tracking via a session, but even that has limits. The best you can hope for is showing how many people viewed a page within a certain timeframe (last 15 minutes, for example).

Yeah, but I can't find any working scripts that can just display that in one number format.

Inside Sin

Sorry for the double post, but would anyone know of one?
