Hello.
First of all, when I've done the two last upgrades, I get these errors:
http://www.rogerfoodbelly.com/temp/smf_error.txt

It got installed, but I'm just worried if something didn't.

Second, when I try to fetch the packages, I get this error:
"You cannot download or install new packages because the Packages directory is not writable!"
The directory is indeed writeable!

And the last thing... Non of the members can seem to be "Always stay logged in." It logs out after a while (even if I have turned the value on never), or when they close the browser window.

I can give one of the admins here a temporary admin account, if they know how to solve it.

Thanks.

Kirby

The link is a 404...

How about the files inside of it? Try CHMODing to 777

Try tempering with your cookie info in the admin panel (sometimes screwy when you use subdomains).

Hope this helps :)

Sorry, forgot to add a "s" to the url.
http://www.rogerfoodbelly.com/temp/smf_errors.txt

I'll check that thing tomorrow.
I have another problem as well...

When anyone tries to post an attachment, they get the following error:
Lainaa2: move_uploaded_file(g:\inetpub\dreyer\subdomains\(domain)\crew\forum\attachments/cottagenight_rough_concept22_1.jpg): failed to open stream: Permission denied
File: g:\inetpub\dreyer\subdomains\(domain)\crew\forum\Sources\Post.php
Line: 1168
:/

Do you have access to the files in question?

If you're using IIS, IUSR_COMPUTERNAME needs write access to the forum directory in the NTFS permissions.

Kirby

hmm windows server it looks like... are you sure Read only is unchecked for the directories, and the files inside of them?

jannar85

I can't seem to change the server settings, got the same error:
"failed to open stream: Permission denied"

Might it have something to do with the upgrade?
(see smf_errors.txt)

Which files are you talking about, [Unknown]?

Kirby, I use SmartFTP, and I have checked all permissions (It shows 777).
There's nothing that says Read Only.

thats the problem... SmartFTP probably thinks its a unix server

[Unknown]

FTP can't chmod on Windows computers.  Tell your host to make the files writable.

But it's never been a problem before :|

jannar85

Couldn't someone please have a look?
There hasn't been any problems in the past regarding this issue.

the files were probably writable before :x
have you asked your host?

jannar85

Nope, but it's most likely writeable, because our old forum at the same directory works  ::)
Yes, it's SMF as well. Only older.

[Unknown]

Old forum at the same directory?  That doesn't make any sense at all.

If you want to give me FTP access, I can take a look, but I'm very busy.

-[Unknown]

jannar85

Yes. I moved it from the other server, to the directory forum3.
PM-ing you.

[Unknown]

Is it looking any different now, or still all the same problems?
