Upgrade from 1.1.5 to 2.0 problems

Although the installation and upgrade went smoothly, there are major problems:

  • Login/logout buttons are missing
  • Navigation buttons (and access to Admin) are missing
  • Copyright notice missing

To rectify these, I reloaded the Themes but then started getting the message at upgrade.php :
"The upgrader found some old or outdated files."

I have since re-installed all the files manually (first time was web install) but I am still getting that upgrade error, which blocks all further actions.

It looks like your language files are now showing.

Reupload /Themes/Default/Languages

And chmod them all to 777 or 755

How do I use chmod?

Thanks for the quick reply.

I reuploaded the default/language files and CHMOD to 777 (it was 755 before).

There is no difference to my first comments; it still does not work.

Looking at your site I'd serious think about not upgrading to SMF 2.x at this stage of the BETA testing.

Now try to download the large upgrade package again, then upload the whole package files again.  Then try the upgrade.php.
