Possibly useless ideas

For a converter, it'd be nice to have:

Progress bar or numerical indicator of how far along something is.
If possible, ability to skip certain optional steps that can be troublesome ("ignore polls").
Some ability to re-do a step of the process if intermittent connections (or webhost woes) interrupt it.

Are these dumb, or viable?

Are you using the convert.php from the updated converters list?
This one has the ability to skip steps.

The first one I like the idea. The SMF 2.0 Upgrade bar comes to mind when I think of this.
I got the convert.php working for SMF 2.0 converters, but I wanted to overhaul it with things such as this and ajax refreshes to maintain things during the conversion. Kind of like the upgrade. But I need lots of time to be able to accomplish that
