can't install mods and themes.pls help

  help please i can't install any packages. i can't turn safe mode off because my hosting is free and i don't have the money to get that turned off. i tried creating a temp directory in packages. and then i can install mod but still the 'modification parse error' is displayed. i installed mods anyway but the function of the mods don't work.

And also when my users register they never get the activation email.

You seem to have an aweful lot of errors, if possible you should try to re-install SMF.

You could also try to chmod the packages directory so that SMF can write to it, just in case SMF doesn't have the permissions.
How do I chmod? / what is chmod?

yeah i tried those already but nothing works. i really want to install some mods

which safe mode restriction are you hitting?  Some of them can be circumvented by ensuring proper permissions/ownership on the files.

Otherwise, you'll likely have to find a host without that restriction in place.

Remember - with free hosting you get what you pay for.
