Invision free to SMF???

Hello, Im kind new [and dumbd] in this field. So far I was running invision free forum, which is crap. Anyway, I would like to keep the posts and members and to convert it to SMF.

I have hosting and domain name where i would like to move this forum, but I need assistance, because Im really dumbd for this area. So, To start from the begining, whtas the procedure that I need to follow to achieve this?

Take a look at the docs: Converting to SMF
First of all you should move your IBP to the new host, then you can install SMF into the same database and do the conversion. SMF needs access to the Invision-database for conversion.

Where can I see whats the version of forum?

Then you would want to use the IPB 1.3.x converter we have up for downloads

SleePy, If I'm not wrong, the TS said he used Invision Free, not IPB.
So, he could not place the IF data into his server. Correct?
