Cant see smiles, but wen viewing sours code I see this:

http://smf.hikingbike.org/Smileys/1/angry.gif

I have only "classic" and "default"  folders there .. no "1" folder .. (mine is Classic)

I ran the repair, and fixed all the links there already.

Thanks

Well I looked at your forum and though they are in a different folder, when I viewed various threads they were displaying correct and didn't appear as text in posts.

Do you have any mods installed?  Can you supply a test account to test any posting interface, as can't test that area as guests.

I didnt tell that i converted to smf115 from aef106, then to smf2.0 3.1public

I manual created the directory "Smileys/1/" and copyed the files from "classic" folder to resolve the problem temporarily

I have those modes installed:

   Mod Name     Version
1.    AJAX Instant Quick Reply    1.0.1    [ Uninstall ]
2.    Remove Post Modified Time    1.2    [ Uninstall ]
3.    Users Online Today    1.5.2    [ Uninstall ]
4.    SMF Sitemap    1.3.0    [ Uninstall ]
5.    Ad Managment    2.3.3    [ Uninstall ]

Thanks

Ah I see you've copied the smiley files to that folder to make them work.

Okay, in Smileys and Message Icons->Settings what are these settings?
Base URL to all smiley sets:
Absolute path to all smiley sets:

Also what is sets do you have in the Smiley Sets tab?

1. http://smf.hikingbike.org/Smileys
2. /mnt/w0503/d38/s17/b02d1147/www/hikingbike.org/wiki_ru/smf/Smileys
3. Classic

Domain smf.hikingbike.org link to the smf folder

Rumbaar

So you have no default smiley set?  Strange as they set can't be easily deleted, how did you remove that set?

Oh sorry, didn't get you right, i have both Classic and Default

Rumbaar

Can you try and run the Repair Settings tool attach to me post here and see if it has alternate smiley paths to define based on your current ones.

What SQL server are you running on your host? As it should be looking for mySQL, Postgresql or SQLite for that file name.

Where did you upload that file and run it from?

MySQL 5.0.24a

Im not sure about the "Postgresql.."

Uloaded in smf main directory and run it from: smf.hikingbike.org/Repair_Settings.php

Rumbaar

Strange, then it should be looking for /Subs-Db-mysql.php in your sources folders.  I'll have to consult others to why it might be doing this, as I'm not up with the current db abstract layer 2.x is using.

But on a side note for your current issue, can you list what mods you've got installed.  A recent user fixed their '1' issue by uninstalling some mods and I want to see if you have any they removed and fixed the issue.

Actually the linked thread has the 2.x SVN repair_settings.php file metallica48423 (repair_settings.php), I think you'll find the one you've attached is actually the 1.x version of the file.

Any thoughts on why, if using the correct one, it is not returning the correct mysql sub-db file call?

There doesn't seem to be a common link between the other thread and their 'fix' and your issue.  Might have just be a fluke.  Sorry

So what should i do ? leave it like it is?

Since i manually created "1" folder, it works ok, but if ill need to change some smiles settings ill have to "recopy" all the contents to the '1' folder again ... (i hope that is all ill have to do, with no surprises:) )

But this folder named "1" is not suppose to be created, this is all wrong, I have the same problem and it's not normal to do this step in order to show the smilies on the editor area. Obviously under a particular condition this problem occurs, but which one? ???
