it depends on your needs as a whole.  unless you are prepared for potential bugs in a beta software, i'd reccommend not running it on a production site.

everyone will have their own opinion on this, i can only reccommend doing a test install for yourself and see if its something you can utilize

I've been running my forum on 2 for a few months with very few problems. I have only had to apply 1 bug fix. I am aware, though, that with the release of the next beta I'm going to have a serious piece of work to update my theme, so unless you're happy with the default theme, I'd wait until beta 4 public.
