Boards showing new threads when there are no new threads

On my forum index view, sometimes the "on.gif" will appear when there aren't any threads that are unread.

I can literally check "mark all posts read", refresh - without new posts being made - and there will be 3 boards with new topics.

I searched, but did not find any results like this.

Anything in your SMF Error Log?

Go into Admin->Forum Maintenance and run the following:

Optimize all tables to improve performance.
Find and repair any errors.
Recount all forum totals and statistics.
