Welcome to SMF.
Please don't double post :). I removed your post in chit-chat.

Which version of IE are you using?
Does this happen on all SMF sites or just yours?

Your forum isn't loading for me right now :(.

Which SMF version are you using and are you on a custom theme?

I use SMF 1.1.5 in my local net so you can not get in.
Can you see JPEG and GIF image as well as a picture not link in your instance of SMF forum?

NickC

I can see jpg attachments as images, not links, on my SMF2 forum in IE6 and IE7.

Is it your own local forum or any outside one?
Can you give me a link to a page with JPEG image?

I run a public forum (see my signature), but I don't allow attachments. I tried this for you on my test forum.

Do you get the same result with your IE7 when you view a JPG attachment?

It could be security levels defined in your browser in regards to your local forum/web server setup.
