When some of my members try to send personal messages, they encounter an error message saying wrong value type sent to database. Array of integers expected. Could somebody help me with this please?

Nathaniel

Can you please post the exact errors as they appear in the error list?
Forum Error Log

You may be having an error with a specific mod but I can have a look at your 'sources/PersonalMessage.php' file to and fix the problem, if you post it.

Please don't send me ANY support related PMs. I will just delete them.

I haven't been able to get this to happen -- could you check your error log and see what if anything is being logged in the error log?

when you say "some", it infers that it isn't a constant.  Are you personally able to get it to happen?

Can you gather more information from the members?.   I believe the "array of integers" is the attempt to send the recipients.  Are you using Sqlite as your database?  there was a bug that caused this (but in February and thus should have been in Beta 3 and Beta 3.1.)

The exact error is
An Error Has Occurred!
Wrong value type sent to the database. Array of integers expected.
It also occurs when a member tries to sign up, could you help me with this please.

Is this an upgrade or a fresh install?

Nice Theme by the way.

Any mods installed? are there other errors in the log that might help shed light on this.  I'm working at trying to make it happen on a test board so that I can figure out what exactly's going on here.

Have you set up any verification questions?

yes, one verification question. It took me hours of pixel by pixel work to change the colours on photoshop for my theme so thanks. It is just the classic, with a different colour scheme and my own logo.

if you remove the verification question, does it work?

what is in the fields of the verification question?

This seems related to verification in some form,   Still seems odd though.

I am so sorry for wasting your time. It was due to verification. I have taken the question out. The problem was i had put 1 verification question, and then i didn't fill in the question and answer fields. The register now works, i am unsure about the personal messages because it was a member who passed that on to me. I will find out. Once again, thanks for your help, and im sorry for being so stupid.

Well, i'm glad to have gotten to the bottom of the problem -- however, hmm... that could be a problem though if you can essentially lock your registration that way.

I can't manage to get my beta 4 to accept a question without an answer though, so it is possible it was fixed.
