Is there a way to ignore a board?  I made a "special" board for the revolutionaries on my forum and promised I wouldn't ever read it so they could have their own little haven, but seeing all the New Messages alerts tempts me so (plus, I see the title of the topics they're posting in, which gives info away).

I'm the admin, if that makes a difference.

Go into Admin -> Boards -> Settings and check "Allow boards to be ignored."

Then in your Profile -> Ignore Boards Options check any boards you want to ignore. :)

I don't know how I missed that after going through the admin sections all these times.   Thank you.

You're going to laugh when I tell you this. I saw your question here and tried to find the setting which I just learned about maybe 2 days ago, and looked for 30 minutes on my test board, finally had to go to my live system and see what it was called in my profile, then search SMF for a post that explained it, then came back to type your answer. :)

I wanted to remember it anyway. There's so many settings in SMF that it's going to take quite some time to learn them all. If ever. :)

I found a few other settings I'd never heard of along the way too. ;)

Always look at the documentation for help if you can't find something. ^^

It outlines most of the key aspects such as this.

Solved. :)
