RSS-Feed only of certain forums

Hello,

I would like to have a RSS feed only for certain forums, for example I don't want to have posts from a forum that can be accessed only from one certain group in my RSS feed. Because than it is useless to have a closed group when everyone can read all posts via RSS.

So how can I make RSS feeds only for a certain forum or prevent a forum?

I'm running version: SMF 2.0 Beta 3.1 Public with no mods.

If you have a restricted board, then the feed is only accesable for that group.

admin -> boards -> permission

If you restrict a board to a certain group, let's say the group VIP. In that case the rss feed will only be shown to users within the group VIP.

Have you checked if the feed is shown to the guests in firefox? Although the button is there, the feed shouldn´t be shown to others then the group vip.

yes, it's working, have a look at my last post ... the rss feed is working with cookies or sessions or something like that ... I only logged out and refreshed my rss feed and got the msg from the vip board ... after closing the broswer and retrying to get new messages, the messages from teh vip board didn't appear in my rss feed

Well, if that is so, than you should report this in the bug forum.
I guess if the user isn't allowed in the vip¨group, but is using a computer of a previous vip user than it could cause trouble...
And that is what I call a bug
