Wheres the news fader on SMF 2 ?

To put your "News" in the box,

Admin > Main > News & Newsletters > News

This is where you type in what you want others to read

To view the News Fader, it is on the Home/Index page and subsequently in a smaller box in the same area on other pages.

I've got news on but I don't know how to activate the fader.  This was already on before I upgraded to 2.0

How many NEWS blocks/text boxes do you have entered?  If there is only one message entered, it won't fade.  It will stay bold on the page.  It only fades if you have more than one block/text box open.   Give me a second...

I'm not sure if I'm on the same page as you or not or if we are talking about two different things....

In the picture, you need to have two or more text boxes with info if you want the news fader to actually fade between messages.  If there is only one message, there;s no reason to fade.

If you still don't see anything, make sure it is enabled:

see the 2nd picture...

You're welcome.

I'm a n00b and I've gotten a lot of help from people here, so if I can help someone with my limited knowledge I feel like I'm helping to give back a little!

Well it's just been a long time since I activated it on smf 1.1.x plus everything has been turned on its head with 2.0
