How do you password protect boards? (I have alot of questions :D)

tk2012

Not sure how to password protect them or if you can, but you can do the following:

when creating a board, it lists the members who are allowed to view the board.  If you create a membergroup and put the people in it who you want to see the board you can in essence have what you are looking for...

-Make a membergroup.
-Put people into the membergroup.
-Create the board that you want them to be able to see.
-Select the membergroups that can see the board.

Then, no one outside that membergroup will be able to view the board, but everyone in the group can.

Hope that helps until you get an answer from someone else.

Password protected boards aren't a default feature of SMF.
There is a mod for smf 1.1.x http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=922
But there currently isn't an smf 2.x version.
