Mass-transfer topics from one forum to another?

Is it possible to mass-transfer all topics from one forum to another forum without having to individually move them?

It wouldn't be easy. You'd need to export smf_topics, smf_messages and smf_members. Then change the topic id's in the topics table so they don't duplicate any in the target database, and all the corresponding ones in the messages table. You'd also have to do the same with the member id's in various columns, and finally the board id in the topics table.

Then import them into a test forum to check it has worked.

Hmm, perhaps this would've been a good idea for a mod.

Believe me, it's been thought of before. Users have also wanted to know how to merge two forums together in general and this basically is the same thing except merging the two databases together will be an even bigger headache.
