Whenever someone quotes a post on my forum, it doesnt put the quote in a box.  All it does is basically copy and paste it.

Is there a setting for this?

Could you illustrate this?

hw610

Okay, just remove the little box around what you just quoted.  Thats how it looks.

Like this, no box:

Hmm.

Mods installed? Any errors in the error log? Theme? Does this problem happen in all themes?

hw610

I installed the WYSIWYG Quick Reply.

Also, says no Errors found.

Does the box appear if you add a quote manually using quote tags? :)

It appears but its actually above the quote, not around it.

Anyone have suggestions?

If even manual quotes are being messed up it would imply that the problem is either because something in the theme has been modified or because the mod is causing issues :).

If you remove the mod and then try doing a manual quote does the problem remain? :)

Is the site with the problem the one with your signature? (If so, I'll sign up and see if I can find the problem. Most likely something missing from the theme so admin access shouldn't be required :))

Are you using SMF 1.1.x or SMF 2.0? When did you notice this happening and were there any changes made prior to this issue?

Attach your Post.template.php file here also.

Are you quite sure you're running SMF 2.0? From your post.template.php, it has at the top:

// Version: 1.1.5; Post

hw610

Positive..

Just upgraded Sept 1.

Bottom of my forum:  Powered by SMF 2.0 Beta 3.1 Public

Looks like a mod or someone changed it. Rename xml_topic.js to something like xml_topic.js~ and upload a new copy of that file back. See if that fixes the quotebox issue.

hw610

Didnt fix it.     hrm?

Can you link to a specific post that has a quote isn't displaying correctly in your forum.  Have you checked your themes .css style for .quote style information?
