You have to drag it from the edit screen after the picture is uploaded. This was added since someone paid for this feature to work this way.

I complained about this not working before but never got a satisfactory response. That drag and drop fix doesn't work either. (see above posts) Besides, how would I ever get all of my members to understand that special method.

Since most of our articles are "how to" type, I figured they were worthless without images, so I uninstalled the mod. Now we post articles through other methods.

What browser do you use? Mine was Firefox 3.0.15.

GohighVoltage

Ok,  I uploaded, it,  and it won't drag.   Please explain.

If it works and I am doing it wrong,   just tell me how to do it?   Can you try yourself and see if it works?

vbgamer45

I have used in 1.1.x and SMF 2.0.
1.1.x you have to click the image and it is added to the editor box.
2.0 the only way I could get it to work was to drag and drop and that was using firefox and wywsig editor for SMF 2.0

I might just change to display the images just on the articles page on an area to the side or bottom instead.

I will try firefox and install wywsig  and then try.    Don't remove it,  cause it is a good feature.

I think you have to enable it under -> Profile -> Layout options

Ok, It is enabled,  but weird,   it doesn't work.   It still uses the BBC codes.  Any idea?

vbgamer45

Probably at this point will scrap it and just make the pictures appear at the side or bottom of the article.

No no,  I am talking about the WYSIWYG,   how is that suppose to work.

When you are posting,  does it display the bold, etc, right away,  or just add BBC codes?  Mine just shows BBC codes.  And my WYSIWYG is enabled.

Arantor

WYSIWYG by definition is that you're supposed to see text in bold and so on.

So it's enabled in the master configuration and turned on in your profile?

I have something to say: it's better to burn out than to fade away. There can be only one.

GohighVoltage

Ok, it was turned off in my profile.   Let me try your mod again.

ALso,  how can I make it auto enabled for all users,  rather then making them have to adjust their profiles?  Or is this not wise to do?

GohighVoltage

Ok,   your mod does work with firefox,  and WYSIWYG enabled.       Only thing after I dragged and dropped it,  you have to erase the formatting on picture itself.    Then everything works great.

Thanks!

qubbah

is there any code to show latest article added in tinyportal block?

WhiteFly

Hi VBG45!

I've just installed the latest release (1.2) in my new forum with SMF 2 RC2 & SimplePortal 2.3.1 and all seem works great...

The only problem is the visualization of "Category Permission List" that don't show all permissions.

I'd like to have an italian version!

Are you interested if I offer my help for a translation?  :)

Bye!

Graziano

vbgamer45

Category permission list only shows categories that you have defined custom permissions for.

Otherwise all permissions are shown on Admin -> Permissions -> Modify each group

Yes I would welcome any translation!
