SMF Articles MOD - "Comments" link does not appear

Hi

Anyway, my problem is that when I sign in under a test account the "Add Comment" link does not appear but it DOES when I sign in as the Admin. I have all of the permissions set properly, it's not a browser issues and it's not a post-count issue. I am just completely stumped at this point.

I'm using SMFArticles1.0.1.5 with SMF v1.1.7 and the "Add Comments" link won't even show up in the default theme. Any help would be much appreciated. It's a great script incidentally.

Thanks, CSS

Great mod, thanks.

I've installed on 2.0 b4 and all running very well except error log reporting following whenever users access articles...

Type of error: Undefined
http://www..../forum/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=5
8: Undefined variable: user_info
File: /home2/.../public_html/forum/cache/lang_Articles_english_Solihull.php (viewarticle sub template - eval?)
Line: 324

I've a fair few mods and running variant Theme 'Shadow People'. If I need to post a file, let me know which one and will attach.

Mods...

1. Show Joined, Location, Username In Topic View 1.0
2. Add Favicon.ico Support 1.0
3. ThemePermissions 1.0
4. Look But No Read 1.3
5. Ignore Board In New Posts 1.0
6. Hide Info Center From Guests 1.0
7. Bakers Dozen Pages 1.1
8. Fix totalMembers undefined error 1.0
9. Bookmarks 2.2.1
10. Global Headers Footers 2.0
11. Images On Board 1.1
12. Users Online Today 1.5.4

Any help really appreciated as this is a great mod and being used already by members.

Thanks

Thanks vbgamer - all fixed as far as I have been able to test...and no errors logged from users today.

I've had to disable the WYSIWYG editor though as its a nightmare when pasting articles in from other apps even when you run them through as plain text. I know this has caused others grief on 2.0b4 so nothing to do with your mod.

I'm getting another error that I am sure is related to this issue - its the same error I get logged on posting when someone uses the WYSIWYG editor heavily - and I've already posted on this issue at http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=283904.0

When I turn off the WYSIWYG everythings fine so I'm pretty sure its to do with the problems there.

Thanks for your fast response

Hello,

This looks like a great mod - but I find it's truncing some of my longer articles.  Is there any way of increasing the allowable size for an article?

in error log: Undefined index: ID_ARTCICLE.
in Articles.template.php, Articles2.template.php - ID_ARTCICLE, should be ID_ARTICLE
additional - I can't approve a separate comment, I can only approve all the comments.
When I click on the link ../index.php?action=articles;sa=apprcomment;id=4, I get a blank screen

How long is the article in the number of characters?

Thanks vbgamer45, upgrade was a doddle.

One of my users has pointed out that when they rate an article nothing seems to happen. The rating system works but gives no indication that the article has been rated and leaves the user looking at the article just as they were before they clicked the rating button.

Maybe a message should be displayed to say that rating has been added, perhaps with a link back to the article category they were reviewing rather than the article itself?

Navigation from articles is limited too. There are no options when viewing an article other than using the back button or the main menu ARTICLES button/tab? On a category you have a couple of links at the bottom of the page, maybe these should also be on individual artciles?

Fussy I know, but that's the type of users I have!

Hi

Thank you again for this great mod

I have this mod installed and I use 1.1.7 smf.

I have a question, when I update my smf to 2.0 , will I lose my articles ?

Installed new 2.0 Beta 4 and Articles 1.0.1.7 - installation went fine.

Admin can see and create categories and articles and permissions - did that.

Gave type of user every kind of permission.

However, no one else can see any link to Articles - is there something I need to do so my users see them?

Thanks
Perry
