SMF 2.0 Beta 4

Administrative Panel > Attachment Settings > Max Size per Attachment > 100000 (that's 100,000) KB

FTP > Attachments folder > CHMOD to 777

Reply to Post > Additional Options > Upload a simple JPG file of 43 KB (it allows JPG in admin settings)

Error message: "Your attachment couldn't be saved. This might happen because it took too long to upload or the file is bigger than the server will allow."

It did not take too long. It takes like a second or two to get the error message. And the file is nowhere near too big. And the directory is cleared for write.

Are there any other ideas??  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Check with your host about the php settings for:
past_max_size
upload_max_filesize
