N00b Conversion methodology opinion needed...

Hi.

I am wishing to convert an installation of Invision Power Board 2.3.1 to the current version of SMF. What I plan on doing is also move to a new web hosting account.

I am not sure the order or best method to make this transition.

Currently, the invision install resides on a hosting account with its associated domain. I plan on moving it to a new webhosting account, transferring the domain to this host and utilizing the smf install via cpanel if possible. But, like I said I am unclear of the steps...

for the conversion both forums must be installed on the same server, so I would recommend the following steps:
1) Migrate your IPB to the new host / domain
2) install smf in a subfolder
3) Converting to SMF
