I didnt get any thing in that ..

Can u say me some simple steps .
I know many things in smf , just want to know if i upload the files , and my data base will be old 1.1.6 so will it support the new 2.0
???

Nathaniel

You will have to upload all of the files from the large upgrade package for SMF 2 Beta 4, into your SMF directory, it will replace all of your old files with new files. You will then have to run the 'upgrade.php' file which will update your database for SMF 2 Beta 4.

Make sure that you make a backup before you upgrade! You may also want to consider making the upgrade on a local copy of your website, before you do it on a live version. Just in case!

Also note that all of your mods will be uninstalled, so you will have to reinstall them if they are compatible with SMF 2 Beta 4. Also, your custom themes may not be compatible with SMF 2 Beta, so you may not be able to use them either.

Where are you receiving that error?

Make sure that you have put all of the files from the upgrade package into your forums directory.
