But i cannot see any arrows...
What can i do?

Thank you for your time!

Are you using the smf default core theme?

SuperCynni

Hello,

I have installed this mod with the package manager. Since I am using a different theme, I edited the php files as told. But now, it is working, BUT with strange texts in it... Did I do something wrong? How can I "clean" it up? I am a total NOOB in programming, so please be gentle on me...

THANKS so much in advance. I included a part of a screenshot where my "problem" is seen.

Have a good day,
Cynni

SuperCynni

I will do as you asked me to, NIBOGO!

Thank you for your help in advance...

:D

SuperCynni

Will it also work when not using the default theme them?

Since I understood that when NOT using the default theme, I needed to change my theme's php files manually. And within my theme *I am using DarkSilver Equinox* there is no "sources" folder. And I understood that the default php's would be automatically changed when using the Package Manager within my SMF board. It said so when I installed it anyway...

my site is: http://omwf.cderuiter.com [nofollow]

I will check my sources files in the normal site now. Hopefully that will work.

I'll be back, thanks NIBOGO  :D

SuperCynni

And here I am again,

I undid the changes to the theme php sites and checked my sources files. They were exactly as they needed to be, according to the mod site. I saved the theme php sites without the wrongfully made edits and reloaded my board. But unfortunately, I am still getting the same error within my Karma field...
Here are my sources/ php files.

Thanks again!

Nibogo

Please remove any change of you do in your theme files also i attach the sources files edited , only overwrite with the ftp

WITH THIS MOD YOU DONT HAVE TO EDIT ANY THEME

SuperCynni

 ;D THANKS YOU!!!  ;D

It now looks as good as it never did before.

Thanks for your patience an help!!!!

Wishing you a very nice weekend  :D

Great mod!  :)

vitalik82

I installed it through package manager and it is running fine on the default theme.

So how do I install it on a custom theme? I am running SMF 2.0 RC1 and RuNet theme

http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=1356

There is no Display.php or PersonalMessage.php in the theme.

You don't need to do anything on your theme , this mod works in all the themes ^^

Well it does not work on my theme.  ;D

Is there anything I can check?

Yep maybe you have any error in the installation

Check of the code was installed

I checked it against Manual Install Instructions for SMF 2.0 RC1. And found a 100% match. And it does work on all other themes, except mine   :'(

I cant see the arrows atall, and it installed perfectly fine, is there anything I have to do?

Hello,

Have used this before problem free, yet now it appears to not be functioning at all.  :'(

Um, using SMF ver2.0 RC3  :)
This mod installs with NO errors.  ;)
Copied up and down gifs to all 5 themes  ::)
Do not know where else I can add code.  :-\

It don't work  :(

Have attached the files that were saved in Notepad++
and the screen shots of the gifs

Further, I have built a membergroup that has limited access
username=Demo
password=justtosee

Thanks in advance,

your files, are okay
but one question...
you, as an administrator you can give karma? or not?
how many messages users need to give karma?

well, you as an administrator can give karma
but, the regular user, only can add karma, if have more of five "posts" (Set the minimun posts needed to modify karma)
and only, can add karma one per hour (Set wait time in hours)
put 0 (zero) in the two options, and tests it
with your "demo" user
and check the permissions of each group so that everyone can give karma

Vicram10,  :)

Thanks for replying.   :)

Okay, was tired last nite.  :P  Realized this morning that providing Demo was USELESS (couse need 5 posts).  :-[

Switched my theme twice (so I was in 3 different themes, and checked 4 different posters and all had a green up arrow and a red down arrow).   ;)

I know one of my members in real life and was sitting next to them and they couldn't see the arrows.  :-\
Weird. I will check with them today.  ::)

So, I believe our issue of the buttons not being there is now solved. ;D

Thank you and Be Well, :)

loplo

Is this working with 2.0.2? Or is it going to be adapted?

tMicky

This isn't working for me on 2.04, used the emulate function, installed without error, the up and down gif added to my theme, but still nothing shows, the regular karma text is still displayed.

lemur21

Does this provide buttons to the administrator as well?

It definitely installed correctly for me -- but *everyone* has the buttons on their posts except for me (the administrator) .....

Is there something that needs to be done to enable that for the administrator, as well?

(version 2.0.11, theme: Blue Star)
