Package manager doesn't work, how do I install mods?

It never will work too, I don't have zlib.

Now, how can I install mods that need the package manager??

The next version of SMF will have a way to install mods without zlib.  However, zlib is an incredibly common and very useful feature of PHP.  Have you asked your host if they would be willing to enable it?

I'm afraid that, for SMF 1.0, there is really no viable workaround.... except getting a better host.  I hope you're not paying them, or if you are you're not paying them more than like three dollars a month.... because there are better featured free hosts out there .

Lol, there a good host. There system is almost glitch-free, too, because of the limits...

I'm afraid that it may be a while, and the version in question is 1.1, not 1.0.2.
