Can Simple Machines Do This?

Hi, I am looking for a very simple feature. A listing next to each forum that shows how many people are viewing the particular forum. I know that Simple Machines has a Users Online section at the bottom of the page, but it would be alot better to have the particular number of users active in a given forum showing. Is this available by a setting or is there a mod for this?

Mod compatible with SMF 1.1.4 latest. OP presumably is using SMF 2.0 or is posting in the wrong board.

Try this:

Admin > Configuration > Current theme

Find "Show who is viewing the board index and posts" and select "Show only numbers".
Thats the closest you get using SMF 2.0

LOL, that was some quick viewings here. Yes i thought about it, but some custom edits by coders team might help out here.

You guys are great, thanks for the quick response. I always thought that was the most important feature when you are actively posting. I am falling in love with simple machines now.
