Mod center access

Under what conditions are a member/group given access to the moderation center? I have a couple of groups that I do not want to view reports, warnings, unapproved stuff, etc., but regardless they do have access. I can't seem to remove that access from them. Even denying the "access to moderation center" permission doesn't seem to change anything.

Ok... apparently they had moderation permissions in one forum that I forgot about. Regardless, when I deny the access to mod center permission they shouldn't have access.

did you have Access the moderation center set to X (disallow) or D (deny)?

It was set to "Deny" yet the groups still had access to the mod center.
