'help' pop-up windows problem

Using the mambo bridge, the 'help' hyperlinks in the smf forum open in new windows that
contain the entire mambo template. They should be in a simple, small, plain pop-up window.

For example, the standalone forum has this link to a help file:
http://www.domain.com/smf/index.php?action=helpadmin;help=calendar_how_edit [nofollow]
Which pops a new, small, plain window.

But the mambo bridged version has this for the same hyperlink:
http://www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=41&?action=helpadmin;help=calendar_how_edit [nofollow]
Which opens a new, replica browser window.

Anyone know how to fix this? I looked in com_smf, but couldn't see what to edit.
