Hi,

I am developing a mod an I have a doubt about how SMF 1.x works. When you install SMF, membergroup IDs start with 1 (Administrator) and then the ID grows as you create more groups.

My question is: can I use 0 as an ID for a membergroup ? What I want to do is to have some place to store information about Guest users. Is this going to conflict with some SMF functionality ? Does SMF 1.x use ID=0 for something ? If not, I will automatically create a register in table membergroups with ID=0 and I'll link it to Guest users.

Thanks
Nacho

id_group = 0 is "regular members" or, more accurately, No Primary Membergroup.

I'd have to hazard that, yes, if you do that you'll probably break something.
