We are currently running SMF 1.1.6 on a windows server 2003 SP2 running PHP 5.2.6 and MySQL 5.0.67. Once in a while we would get the error: PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 7C82CAA2 and the whole forum comes offline. Can someone help me understand what is causing this problem?

Welcome to SMF.

It's an issue between PHP and the server you're hosted on, most likely.

You will need to contact your host and have them look into it.  It may be a simple permissions error.

Hello. I am the host. One of my clients is running this forum. Every once in a while they get this error. I am trying to track down what is causing it.

CCB's post gives you a hint:

It may be a simple permissions error ;)

I would say it's a HOST memory RAM issue, but we aren't really web server support specialists.  We handle SMF, and this kind of error isn't a SMF error.
