Email notifications, personal messages not working...

Hello

I have this little problem:

Sending email dosent work with my forum/serwer. When new users register they dont get the activation email and you cant send personal messages becouse of it too.

When someone registers and is suposed to get an email with activation link instead of that i get an email from MAILER DEAMON that is instaled on the serwer where i have my email that the email wasent delivered becouse {here ip} was rejected and links to articles about smtp authorization.

I dint have that kind of problems with phpbb and this problem is when i use sendmail.

When i chosed smtp and created a special email account on the serwer where the board is for that and added the config info there is no email too and no email from any mailer deamons too.

If someone can help me with i would be gratefull. I can propably fix that on my own but i would like to know what couses this error.

Iam just writing to refresh this topic as its to far on the list and still no reply.

Dony be angry please, i still dint repair the problem. I cant work directly on the serwer or use ssh becouse its on the other side of the Globe so i cant check whats cousing those errors.

any clues ?

Have you set the username and password in the SMTP configuration?  Have you tried it with them not set?  Have you made sure the "webmaster email" in Server Settings corresponds to the account?
