Hi all,

A.M.A. has helped me great with integrating my forum into my existing layout.  It works like charm.
But there's a strange problem : I've got an horizontal ruler at the bottom of the page.  I don't really mind the ruler, except for the fact that is seems to narrow my site-table-construction.

hxxp:www.sektor21.be/forum/ [nonactive]

If you look at the forum, and click on a link in the menu, you can see the pages should be a bit more wide, and I really can't see where the ruler is coming from :) Maybe I'm overlooking it, even though I'm looking at the code for about 15 minutes now.

All help appreciated

Jerry

the one at the very bottom? I think that would be in the mambo template wouldn't it?

[Unknown] : I'm sorry to tell, but I checked all the errors the validator tells me, and NONE of them exist.
All tags look fine to me, I really can't find any fault in the html source.

A.M.A. : Thanks, it seems it was the hr, .hrcolor css-tag that had to be removed.  Never would have thought that should have caused the problem.

Can anyone explain why the validator is giving these errors ? all code seems ok to me when I check it out.

well...   first of all, if you have nested tages, you have to close them in the order they were opened.
In other words, a <td> requires a </td>
<div> <table> <tr> <td> requires (in this order) </td></tr></table></div>

that seems to be your main problem...

<edit> hmmm... mixng div and tables is wierd...

bordercolor, bordercolorlight, bordercolordark are not valid attributes...
that seems fairly straighforward...
and add an alt="" to the image tag
