What version of SMF are you currently using and how are you doing the upgrade (package manager or manually using large upgrade)?

Please answer the questions that we asked the other users having the problem. If you don't, we can't really provide any help!

That function should be defined in Sources/Subs.php. Perhaps a mod installation removed it somehow, or Sources/Subs.php isn't being called for some reason (other code being damaged)?

it started happening with my site, since i installed PrettyUrls

dunno if this is the same case with the others

Did you try removing prettyurls?
