italian for SMF 1.0.1

Hi, I've noticed that italian is missing in the new language files available for download to update SMF 1.0.1
Does this mean:
1. italian doesn't need an update?
2. it hasn't been done yet? what is the eta?
3. do you need help with it?
I'd be glad to give the community something back if you need help. I might not have time to translate a whole language file, but if all we are talking about is adding the missing/new entries that came with 1.0.1 then I can definitely do that.

They may see this topic, but generally it would be better if you requested them, since you're the one offering to help, instead of me in your place.  They don't have secretaries .
