@vbgamer45 Just a quick question...  With shoutbox enabled, can it be incorporated with the portal's pages?  The goal is to have it in a private area to use for online meetings, only seen by those members.  I guess what I'm asking is if EZBlocks can be put into pages?  I've not found a way to do that.  Currently, the portal is being used as our front (home) page only.

Yes blocks can be added to only pages. You just need to set the visibility option to that page.

Just wanted to mention that the shoutbox wouldn't show smilies, so I found them in the Subs-EZPortalMain2.php and changed the names of them to match the names in our default set and they all showed up.  Was that okay, or does that create problems down the road?    (Well, it's only showing the code for the smilies and not the actual smilies, so maybe I broke it.)  The settings are for "Show smilies". 



Oops!  ETA:  I forgot, the codes have to change on that file, as well, not just the names.  D'oh!

Trying to install v5.6 in 2.1.4 forum.  Package manager installs it with no errors, but nothing happens.  Only thing it does is add permissions.  Forum was just upgraded from 1.1.21 and was running SimplePortal.  Don't know if SP was uninstalled prior to upgrade, but shouldn't matter, should it?

Yes.  It installs without error but there are no blocks and the acp is missing.  Doesn't work in Curve2 or custom theme.

I'm told SP was installed when upgrade was run.

Other mods install normally, nothing logged.  Package manager seems to think mod was installed successfully, but it only shows up in permissions.  Tried installing ehportal, got wsod.  I'm thinking SP left something in the database that's affecting other portals.

Could be. I would try to delete it from the installed packages list maybe that will trigger it not to think it is installed.

Did that, didn't help.  I think it is installed because I see it in permissions, it's just not working.

I'm cleaning up the upgraded 2.1.4 database, and found the problem with ezportal install.  It installs with admin permissions disabled, once they're enabled I see ezportal acp and can enable homepage.  There are no default blocks displayed.

Default blocks aren't displayed for admins, but they're visible to guests.  It's running here

Yeah, i think there might be a setting in ezportal to enable. I think i hide them in ACP area so if you have issues with blocks it doesn't mess up the site admin area.

The problem is it installs with admin permissions and homepage disabled, so there's no acp or any blocks displayed.  Is that intentional?

Hmm, apparently that only happens on the damaged forum.  Just installed it on one of my test forums and it installs correctly.
