We have a 2.0 beta 4 since september... the final version need to out of box, huh? The time has come, SMF Team! :P

Thank you for development, bug fixes, improvements, compatibilities between mods and more. Run, SMF Team! :)

It's not finished yet. It'll be done when it is done.

Oh! Really?! Your info is "my precious". LOL :P

Quote9 month from now.

9 months? July/August 2009? O.o
Well, 9 months from now... the baby called SMF 2.0 Final will be born pretty... I hope. Bah.  ::)

Now that SMF 2 is close to RC, I doubt that SMF 2 Final will take another 9 months. However SMF doesn't set timelines for releases because it puts unwanted pressure onto the devs, we all want SMF 2 to be stable with the least number of bugs possible, right? Well, sometimes that means waiting for a little while. Have some patience. ;)

Dear LHVWB,

Thanks for reply. The TRAC (public) would be nice for SMF. The community may to help (as help already), the milestones can be clear and the wishlist will be public. I think (really) that Simple Machines Forum is fantastic, but need to be clean and clear when the issue is milestones, futures versions, betas, RC versions, final versions and more.

Again, thanks for your explain. Long life for SMF.

Hi
Is the SMF 2 Beta 4 safe to use live  ??? has
I have noticed that this forum is powered by smf 2 beta 4

It depends on you, lyonsy, however, we always advice users to run the Beta for testing purposes not on production sites. Although, some production sites like ours run it.

It's still in Beta and bugs are yet to be found and fixed :)

Same here, bud. And I agree, the final version (2.0) is needed, specially for production sites.

I love and believe in SMF. I am waiting the final version - not without bugs, because any web app have new bugs and need new fixes, but... - SMF 2.0 best than anothers non-free boards.
