so installing this, over my SMF 2.0 Beta 4 Public wouldn't be named a regular "upgrade"... ?!?

bbulldog

Installed on two heavy modded sites with no problems. Many thanks.

Is there a board which shows what changes were made ie. why they were made. I would like to know why there is a htaccess now installed, sorry but i am nosey :-) and it might stop some issues i have been having with files being added to my site.

This is for the SMF 1.1 and 1.0 releases only. If you are running 2.0, you do not need to do a thing.

Sorry, there is not. I can say the htaccess was added for privacy reasons.

As for for other changes that were made and seeing what they were, you can simply download the patch file in the first post and open the .mod file, relating to your SMF version, in a text/XML editor and see what they were.

If you look in the .htaccess file you can see the commands they have been included and see what they do and what they will prevent people being able to do at that folder level.

Deal

Worked fine for me however the notification message was confusing. I was on version 1.1.6 prior to the update but the notification indicated otherwise. It said:

Installations actions for "SMF 1.0.15 / 1.1.7 Update":

I expected to see:

Installations actions for "SMF 1.1.6 / 1.1.7 Update":

Edit: and many thanks for the great software/dev team
