some quick questions on the copyright...
1) What module is the function located in?

The reason for this (and leading up to #2) is that I am wroking on a combined/merged template/theme for Mambo and SMF. I want to include the Copyright for SMF at the footer of the Mambo template, not in the window with the SMF tables...
I've tried just calling for the function, but it's not picking it up...

2) If I did as described above, I fear that the SMF would read it is "copyright removed"

I'm afraid you are not permitted to alter the SMF copyright.

I don't want to alter it... I just want to move it around. :)

You can put the function call for "theme_copyright();" into your "index.template.php" file wherever you wish. (However you cannot alter the function itself.)

Andrea...  I understand I can move it around in index.template.php...

What I want to do is move it into mambo's footer.php, so that all the copyright information is posted in the same location.
I try calling "theme_copyright()" in the mambo footer.php, but it display's nothing...

Mambo's footer is displayed after SMF checks to see if the copyright has been shown.  I'm afraid this would require changes to the bridge (output buffering wouldn't cut it, either.)

hmmm... I was afraid of that.

Ok.. good enough, I'll work with what I have. :)

What happens if you call   template_footer(); from Mambo's footer.php?

Kindred

Interesting...   calling template_footer() from footer.php lists the page creation time (since that is currently check on in my admin)

but calling theme_copyright() just after that lists absolutely nothing... not even a blank space.

I was hacking some code and i came across the copyright, no i didnt remove or edit it at all whatsoever a matter of fact heres the link hxxp:www.medievashard.com/forums [nonactive] i was just wondering what the purpose is of this function "theme_copyright($get_it = none)" it dosnt parse the copyright insted it parses this,  "The administrator doesn't want a copyright notice saying this is copyright 2001-2005 by Lewis Media, and named SMF, so the forum will honor this request." im just kinda curious what is the purpose? is it like to harass anyone trying to get rid of the copyright or something? i dont think that would be a bad thing lol
