1.1.7 -> 2.0 beta how to convert?

I have tried to search but haven't found anything useful.

I have a working 1.1.7 and want to import the database to a fresh 2.0 beta 4. Will it work just replace the the 2.0 database with the old 1.1.7?

My forum is rather small. Any idea how for RC1 is in time?

BTW: The spam attack continue but I have not more different IP address so no more "new" members.

My question was mostly for testing purposes. Version 2 looks nice. Well done guys. I will also probably donate some more money.

Yes you can 'copy' your current forum using the same process as moving, just do it to another folder and db.  Then run the upgrade to 2.x process on that copy.  I'd recommend clearing out all session and logs before exporting your current db to save on space.
