Mods - Very easy question

Well, when I recently dowloaded a mod, I noticed a .mod file. I saw no instructions on how to install this mod or where to put the file so I am asking you.

The mod that I was trying to install was global announcement mod.

Upload the entire .zip file through your package manager and it should know what to do.

Ah the beauty of the package manager. I just came from phpbb. Having installed many mods manually. After installing my first mod in SMF manually lol I discovered the beauty of the package manager. Installed 2 other mods with it. I can't believe nobody else has a package manager like this. Thank you!
