MiniBB to SMF Problem

Hi

I am trying to convert from MiniBB (which sucks, really) to SMF 1.1.7.

But I get teh following error after installing it, and going to convert.php:
"Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of MiniBB 2.0. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error MySQL gave was: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '.TABLE PREFIX WAS HERE_users' at line 2"

They are on the same DB, and same user, but with different table prefixes. My SMF is in /forum and my MiniBB is in /forums.

Can anyone help?

your miniBB has a file named setup_options.php. can you check this and edit that file..

there should be a similar part in your setup_options.php (different dbusr, dbname, dbpwd)

is that file existing? you should also verify the pathes to both forums in convert.php

Yeah, that's all set-up, as my forum is already live (the miniBB one)

place minibb_to_smf.sql and convert.php in your SMF directory. then call the convert.php from a webbrowser.

path for the miniBB is:

Tried again, and I get:

I now get "The converter detected that your host has open_basedir enabled on this server. Please ask your host to disable this setting or try moving the contents of your MiniBB 2.0 to the public html folder of your site."

I don't know what this could be: ".DB NAME WAS HERE_users" .. normally it should be: databasename.prefix_users ..

have you changed the header or any other content from miniBB_to_smf.sql?

No changes made to the .sql file.

Any ideas about :DB NAME WAS HERE? Is this the name of your database or the table prefix form your miniBB tables? I don't have an idea at this time because this string is not part of convert.php, miniBB_to_smf.sql or the setup_options.php from miniBB..

can you please post the name of your database and the prefix all of your miniBB-tables? I can modify the miniBB_to_smf.sql for you so the error should no longer appear..
