Ads on our message boards

Our fan club message board has a list of advertisements on the top of the page after you log in. I see the corrupt code when I view the source code, but it continues to show after I updated and uploaded the same file in our server.

I've been trying to resolve this for over a week. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Which file are you updating? Are you editing your index.template.php file in your theme?

I've tried the index.php file in the main SMF directory and the index.template.php file in the themes folder. Would you suggest trying it again?

So you added the ad code yourself right? If you are using your own custom theme (not default) then you probably need to edit the index.template.php file in that themes folder
