Ungrouped Members wanted to move to a group by bulk

As I understand the Ungrouped Members are members who are not in groups ie newbie, jr, etc...

I converted from IBF to SMF and most of my members are in Ungrouped. How can I bulk move them out of this group so that they just filter into the OEM groups of SMF?

No... "Ungrouped Members" are members who are not in a primary (non-post-based) group such as "Administrator" or "Global Moderator". Everyone is already in a post-based group.

I would also like to know how to move all my Ungrouped Members into a group at the same time.

I'm using the mkportal, and the permissions there do not take into account the Ungrouped Members.  It would be nice to be able to change the initial default group.. to a real group, instead of ungrouped.

Newbie is also used as the "default" group.

If MKPortal can't set permissions using the Ungrouped Members group, I would suggest asking them to fix that .
