Attachment problems...

Ok I just installed my message board and everything including avatars is working fine.  Unfortunately, when I try to upload a picture under the 'Additional Options' and then view it in Preview, it says "You may need to reattach this file: undefined".  I'm browsing to my pc and choosing the .jpg that I want.  It's small enough as defined in my settings.

In trying to fix this, I thought maybe the path to the attachments was wrong and I changed it.  Now I cant go into the Attachment Manager screen.  Could someone tell me what to change this back to and possibly a fix for my issue?  Thanks a ton!

Ok when I ran that I got this..

>Notice: Undefined variable: attempt in /home/content/A/n/a/AnakinSW/html/repair_settings.php on line 326

>Some settings are not being shown because the MySQL connection information is incorrect.

and then at the bottom it said this: Settings.php cannot be written to by your webserver. Please modify the permissions on this file to allow write access.

There's a list of stuff between that say this:

>Critical Settings
These are the settings most likely to be screwing up your board, but try the things below (especially the path and URL ones) if these don't help. You can click on the recommendded value to use it.

Enabled
Unusable (not recommended!)

Looks like Settings.php got messed up. If you've got a "Settings_bak.php" on your server, you can delete Settings.php and rename Settings_bak.php to "Settings.php". Otherwise, chmod Settings.php to 777 and go through and fill in the info. If you're not sure about something, you can use the recommended value (although the cookie name should probably be SMFCookie10).

Well I don't know what this is about but I replaced the file and that didn't change anything... but apparently the problem was when I was trying to use 'preview'.  I accidentally hit 'save' instead on a post and attaching a file and it worked  :o

There we go.  Now I'm up and running... guess you can't preview an attachment.
