I was looking for something sorta like this, but I was going to call it vendors, but this will work. Is there a way to make the box that displays the affliates larger and remove the scroll? Not that its not nice, but doesn't really fit what I'm trying to accomplish.

I think its cool, i reckon it should tell them a step by step process when they add there site, to add the affiliate code to there own site first..

And there positions relate to clicked links..

Anyy affiliates that dont click thru to ur forum should be warned of being removed form list..  if they have 0 click throughs its obvious they didnt add the code to there own site..

Then i would use this script hehe  :D

For those who wish to use the code on SimplePortal:

Using a "php" block:

Code: [Select]
global $context, $settings, $options, $txt, $scripturl, $modSettings;
   if (!empty($modSettings['enable_marquee']) && (!empty($modSettings['affiliates'])))
                     echo '<marquee behavior="scroll" onmouseover="this.stop()" onmouseout="this.start()"><span style="text-align:center;" class="smalltext">' . parse_bbc($modSettings['affiliates']) . '</span></marquee>';

It will use whatever code you have in the "Board" box.
You can use this with the board enabled or not.

OK installation problems... sources/ModSettings.php failed package installation so I went ahead and installed anyhow making the manual changes to ModSettings.php

All seems ok by appearances however any changes in set up I make are not saved after clicking the save button and I'm redirected back to Features & Options. Any Ideas.

Don't Follow me I got No Idea what I'm Doing

i see you kinda worked it out

see where you put your banner that for your site right??

this is where you should put it

Enter the URL to your affiliate Banner1: [ your banner1 url here]

Enter the URL to your affiliate Banner2: [ your banner2 url here]

Enter the URL to your affiliate Banner3:[ your banner3 url here]

Enter the URL to your affiliate Banner4:[ your banner4 url here]

now where you have you banner at the mo is where you put the banners of people who affiliate with you

im finding this hard to explain so please forgive me for not going into too much detail with it

Okay,
but how affiliates (your site for example) are included in my site and mine in yours?
I add my site in Addlink tab.  What does it mean?  You received the information and then it will be available?

Okay,
but do you think people will find the Affiliate tab (menu tab) to send their request to affiliate?
After you have one Affiliate the box in bottom is shown, okay.  But until now it isn't... and so it does not call attention...
Yes of course I can search and start asking for an affiliation...

Yes. Mine is the same.
I remember seeing something, somewhere, about fixing this.
I think it has something to do with caching.

EDIT:
Using NotePad++
Line 431 of smf_affiliates.template is showing an error (by the comments and stuff not being the right colour)
I think it's a simple punctuation thing.
