it might be a good idea to take note of of the affiliates you have cos this wont upgrade the old one so youb will loose anuy affiliates you have

looks great in my test site buuttt, is there any way to make it cross compatable with 1.1.7 as there are several mods that are not ready for SMF2.0 release   ...

Just wondering, if an affiliate that wants to add themselves to your affiliates list does not have a banner, is there a way to not have the banner required? Maybe a check box to say "banner required" or "do not require banner" in the admin?
As of right now, (at least from what I've seen) the banner is required and most of my affiliates don't have banners. So, what to do??
By the way, this is Mickey - Flip's wife. He said to mention that I thump backs even harder than he does. (I accidentally broke a rib on him once)

Are you updating both packages? the 1.1 etc. or the rc etc.??

theres an option to enable disable banners in admin

OK, I got some sleep and installed the newest version of SMF Affiliates.
A couple of suggestions:
1 - I don't see the marquee any more   miss that! Would like to see it with 2 check boxes, 1st would marquee from right to left, the other would scroll from bottom to top (like in a movie). You can choose which one you'd like it to do. And if neither is checked, it just sits there (like it does now). Also, is it possible to add a field that shows the speed of the scroll/marquee? That way the user could set the speed of it?
2 - being able to name the affiliates block on the index. Used to be that you could rename it from "affiliates" to whatever you wanted without having to mod code.
3 - in the old version, in the admin panel, you had 2 areas for putting in links. 1st was for the affiliates page, the other was for the affiliates block. This would be nice to have back. This way, I could put my site sponsors in the block on the index page and our affiliates on the affiliates page.

Geez I hope that makes sense.

hmmm the maque wont be added to this one and i dont think ill add the two boxes for affilistes if you want that why not use the old version it still supported the whole point of this one was to make it easyer to actulay add the affiliates

in admin how many affiliates did you set it to if you have 4 affioliate put 4 in the box if you put more say 6 and you only use 4 of them theb you will get them errors

ok. sounds good. Of course, the problem I have is that both versions each have their own positive extras. Not very nice!!!   
Now, another question - I copied the code you placed a bit back to put the Affiliates into a block in a Portal. It does them as a marquee - right to left - how can I change it to scroll - bottom to top - and still have the on mouse over stop?? This will hopefully be my last question to bug you with. He He.

hey if you would goto my website hxxp:www.flat4tx.com [nonactive] and as you can see when you hover the mouse over the affiliate banner the URL is: hxxp:flat4tx.com/forums/www.treasuretrooper.com/158646 [nonactive] instead of: hxxp:www.treasuretrooper.com/158646 [nonactive] I entered it in that way (www.treasuretrooper.com/158646) under smf affiliates tab but for some reason it ends up adding "hxxp:flat4tx.com/forums/ [nonactive]" to every affiliate link....do you know the problem?
