All the frontpage center blocks

Has anyone had the problem where all the center blocks on the front page are way to the left of center no matter how its coded (ie: <center>, etc.)? this occurs even with the default theme. I removed the mods one by one and reinstalled them. even tried other themes.   

Im using smf 1.1.7 and tp 1.0.5 beta1
